Evenings are often when everyone is worn thin. A screen-light evening can still be warm: one story, one song, lights dimmed a little earlier.

Try a “one thing” rule — one activity before bed, not a programme. Connection beats perfect routines.

If your household uses devices, agree a gentle finish time and leave phones in another room while you settle. Guilt does not help sleep.
