When should I contact Community Law?
Community Law centres offer free legal help to people who cannot easily pay a lawyer — housing, work, debt, and family issues are common.
Community Law is a nationwide network of centres staffed by lawyers and caseworkers who help people on low incomes with everyday legal problems — tenancy, employment, benefits, fines, family, and consumer disputes.
Services vary by centre: some offer drop-in clinics, others book appointments. Bring paperwork and a short timeline of what happened. They explain options; they do not always represent you in court.
If you need a lawyer for court, ask about legal aid through Ministry of Justice. Educational signposting only — not legal advice from us.
